Admissions

Admissions are now open for classes Nursery to XIIth.

Our admission process is simple and hassle free. Our counsellors/admissions managers are always at hand to guide you through all your decisions, from choosing the ideal curriculum and school programs for your child all the way to their first day at School.

PRIMARY SCHOOL
(NURSERY to V)

In the primary curriculum, the school provides a learning environment where the natural curiosity and wonder of young children are enhanced by skilful guidance from our professional team. We also believe that play is a fundamental component of early learning and for the all round development of children in their formative years. In practical terms this means longer periods of active engagement and short, developmentally appropriate teaching, with a strong emphasis on reading and counting.

Excursions and visits promote opportunities for hands-on experiences in many curriculum areas. Students are encouraged to explore and investigate concepts arising from these visits, with teachers supporting learning.

Our younger children particularly enjoy music and dance. Research shows that daily music enrichment is a brain building block for science and mathematical understanding.

SECONDARY SCHOOL
(VI to VIII)

Classroom experiences include use of visual, hands-on, tactile and interactive methods. Field trips, role plays and mini acts develop confidence in speaking and enhance the child’s personality. The use of LED projectors makes teaching alive and fascinating.

Activities including Problem of the Month, Maths Olympiad, Abacus, Vedic Maths and Chess Club, have complemented the real life, hands-on and formal aspects of classroom study.

Our teaching philosophy and practice is based on the understanding that during these years students undergo significant physical, emotional, social and academic development.

All students are encouraged to develop qualities of courage, leadership, discipline and selfless service through participation in National Scouts, Eco Club and community service programmes.

SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL
IX to XII

Within a supportive, structured environment we aim to produce independent learners who are well prepared to cope with future challenges and the world beyond school.

Equal stress is laid on preparing students for the prescribed RBSE syllabus and on preparing the students for the various competitive entrance examinations. The following two academic streams are available to the students after Grade X

Commerce: Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, English and Hindi

Arts: History, Geography, English Literature, Hindi and English

At Shalom, we help improve the self-confidence, communication skills, inter-personal skills, conflict resolution, and goal setting of each student. Along with this, personality tests, group discussions and mock interviews are introduced to help the students grow holistically.
